AdultSkate & TeenSkate
AdultSkate and TeenSkate are a spin-off of Skate Canada's dynamic learn to skate program for all ages. This program is designed for skaters aged 13-17 and 18+ who are already able to stand up and move forward on their own. It is a 45 minute on-ice program taught by ASFSC professional coaches in groups of 10 skaters or less. Skaters will learn and practice basic skating skills across three categories - Balance, Control, and Agility! Skaters move through 6 stages of these skill, acquiring ribbons and badges for their progress. Mastering these fundamental skills will allow skaters to move on to participate in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity.
Equipment Required
- Skates - lace-up Hockey or Figure Skates are highly recommended
- CSA approved helmet mandatory (no bike or ski helmets allowed) - until Stage 5 skills are passed
- Warm Clothing - mitts/gloves, long pants, warm sweater or jacket
