PreCanSkate
PreCanSkate is Skate Canada's learn to skate program for beginners. This program is designed for young skaters 3-6 years of age who have had no prior skating experience or are unable to stand up, skate forward, and skate backward on their own. It is a 30 minute on-ice program taught by ASFSC professional coaches and assistants in a group of 12 skaters or less. Skaters will learn and practice basic skating skills such as standing up, skating forwards and backwards, jumping, and much more! Mastering these fundamental skills will allow skaters to move on to participate in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity.
Equipment Required
- Skates - lace-up Hockey or Figure Skates are highly recommended
- CSA approved helmet mandatory (no bike or ski helmets allowed)
- Warm Clothing - mitts/gloves, long pants, warm sweater or jacket
